recent thrift shop acquisitions!

yesterday i had the good fortune of going to the goodwill thrift shop...i was in search of sewing patterns but, alas! they do not have any kind of sewing/craft things there anymore(not even yarn!!!)...although i did see one of those mini-sewing machines for kids. i am also a little disapointed in the rise of the prices at goodwill stores but nonetheless i found some excellent deals!

first are the 3 adorable pairs of baby gap jeans for X. and they look even cuter on!!! $.99 each!!! you cannot beat that deal!

then i found some gorgeous candle holders, they are more like wall sconces i guess, anyways they are black metal, and they match my living room decor perfectly, i got the set of 2 for $5!

i can't seem to pick a theme for my bathroom decor but i spotted this little guy for only 49 centsnow i think i'm onto something for my bathroom dec. an ocean theme would be really cute! i'll have to look around for a wallpaper border along those lines.

a few summers ago, D. and i got some matching water shoes...somehow they disapeared...or i lost them...or left them somewhere full of sand...so when i saw these sandal things just D.'s size i nabbed them! $4.99 was all! they are in excellent shape too. he wasn't nearly as excited as i was when he saw them but i'm sure he will appreciate them come summer with camping and swimming. i also got him a nice grey polo shirt for work. he wasn't excited about that either....oh well...

the most exciting thing lately is SPRINGTIME!!! all the cherry type trees around are in bloom and it's just my absolute favorite thing ever. especially when the wind blows lightly and the little pale pink petals go flying through the air, it's 'magical' like snow only with sunshine. i just love it! i really need to bring some of those blossoms inside so i can gaze upon their cheeriness all day! this picture is of a tree in our parking lot.

so, happy springtime and have a great day...i'll be hosting X.'s playgroup this monday so pictures and words will be forthcoming:)

be.

sweet, i get to be your first comment! congrats on all the fun thrifting finds. i'm jealous that the cherry trees are in bloom there already! the weather's been cold here lately but it's supposed to be 75 on sunday. we'll see. my mom and i bought a bunch of vegetables and herbs to make a big garden, i can't wait to plant them.
